After reading the recent posts by my guitar hero, Brian, and bass boy, T.O., I'm more thankful than ever, tonight. Oh sure, I have many things for which I'm already thankful: I have a bright, healthy family, a warm home, and a decent job. I have a big screen HD television with DirecTV and more than a dozen channels devoted to nothing but sports. Real sports. Not like the things Brian and T.O write about. No sir, you won't catch me watching LaBron James or any NBA game. You won't catch me having an argument with another sports fan about whether LeBron should have gone or should have stayed. I just don't care.
And I know people! Memphis Grizzlie and NBA all-star power forward Zach Randolph is an acquaintance. He asked me time and time again to let him play on the high school baseball team. Zach was also a guest reader in my second grade classroom just before he played his first NBA game. But I digress.
I read Those Sports Guys' take on LeBron and Cleveland and Miami and...I gotta say, I'm mostly thankful I'm not them.
